Husband and wife team, Alun & Maggie Jones produce unique, hand painted wooden craft items, which incorporate Alun’s carpentry skills and Maggie’s artistic flair.
Their products range from children’s name
plaques, name and alphabet blocks to Noah’s Ark, beach hut money boxes,
desks and hooks of all description.
As an accomplished artist,
Maggie paints water-colours of Wales, in miniature and has recently returned
to her first love, oil paintings, of many subjects including the female
form.
Artist Collectable Bears - Lovingly and individually hand made by Maggie, these little darlings are each made from German mohair. They are filled with luxurious polyester and weighted with steel shot. They have all-seeing glass eyes, moveable head and joints. No two bears are the same, each having his/her own personality! So sorry - these are not suitable for children.
Hand Painted Chests - Each wooden chest is stained, hand painted and then varnished three or four times to bring out the glorious colours. They have very many uses and can be made with any number of drawers of varying sizes. The artwork continues around the sides and top and should you require a specific theme and colour, e-mail or telephone Maggie to discuss your requirements.
Ugly Bugs Name Plaques - Brightly coloured personalised Ugly Bugs name plaques and signs for the bedroom door, smothered with hand painted creepy crawlies . Choice of colours: Blue, red, yellow, turquoise, midnight or green with multi-coloured letters. All personalised name plaques made from top quality birch ply and child safe acrylic paints.
NOAH'S ARK & ANIMALS - Beautifully hand crafted Ark in birch ply (20"x 15" )with detachable roof, large drawer & opening door. Hand painted artwork & finished with high gloss varnish. A delightful Noah & his wife are given free with the large Ark. Each Ark and all the animals will vary slightly as they are individually painted by the artist, making them unique, highly collectable and robust enough to hand down the generations.
