Avrina Eggleston is a well-known jeweller and designer producing jewellery of the very highest quality. Avrina creates jewellery for a number of private clients both wealthy and titled and in the music and entertainment world. The acknowledged quality of her work has led to her designing and manufacturing jewellery on a regular basis for Paul Smith and also now designing collections for Patrick Cox. Her pieces are elegantly conceived, and beautifully made. They display workmanship of the very best quality that will last generations.
Avrina was born in Wales and educated at Dartington Hall School in Devon. With a background in Fine Art Avrina attended the prestigious Central St Martins School of Art in London where she obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Jewellery Design and Goldsmithing. Asked to do a Masters at the Royal College of Art, Avrina instead set up her business and embarked on a wide range of commissions.
She designed and manufactured jewellery collections for ‘NEXT’, but also produced the chain of Office for the Sheriff of London, silverware for the Worshipful Company of Cutlers, and commemorative medals for the Scientific Instrument Makers Guild.
In addition to jewellery Avrina still specialises in the creation of rare Objects d’art for a select group of clients. Avrina is also qualified as a Gemmologist, having an exhaustive knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, cutting and design. She sources the choicest and most beautiful gems travelling to the Far East and The Americas to acquire unusual stones. Th gems are then set in designs using a range of precious metals, such as platinum, white and yellow gold marked with Avrina’s own personal hallmark. The quality of her settings is as a result of her unusual skill and knowledge, and she has received the Goldsmiths Craft Council Award for her work.
Avrina’s jewellery is superbly designed and created, using unusual gemstones of established quality, and represents stylish and comfortable jewellery that demand to be worn – as Avrina says ‘ beautiful jewels to be worn everyday’.
