There have always been artist members of  Craft's Alive but in 2010 we decided it was time to open up a gallery to show all our art in one place.

 

 

 At Oriel Lan Lofft/The Upstairs Gallery you will find a changing exhibition of original works on display in the main gallery and a range of prints and cards for sale in the small gallery outside.

 

As well as paintings and woodcuts we also sell 3 dimensional art such as Saraj Guha's wonderful stainless steel dragons.

Like the rest of Craft Alive, the Upstairs Gallery is a place where prices are kept as low as possible. The artists are all members of our co-operative. This means you are buying directly from the artist; there are no dealers or middlemen involved.   

By buying from Crafts Alive/Oriel Lan Lofft  you are directly supporting a local artist. 

 

 

 

Oriel Lan Lofft also mounts solo exhibitions.

 

 We have had shows from Andrew Evans, Wyn Davies,  Jacki Yorke, Tanya Rotherfield, Cara Gibson and Wendy Powell Jones

PAINTING COURSES

Wendy Powell Joans is a professional artist working mainly in watercolour. Wendy will be running a day course on watercolours in ORIEL LAN LOFFT the UPSTAIRS GALLERY at Crafts Alive.

This will be suitable for absolute beginners and those with a little experience.

Start time 10.00am – 4.00pm with a break for lunch. We shall be looking at basic watercolour techniques and incorporating them into simple landscapes and seascapes.The cost is £20 payable in advance and  includes materials.
